Practices on Saka Dawa

Saka Dawa marks Guru Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. On this day, karmic results are multiplied by 300 million times as it commemorates Shakyamuni Buddha’s three major life events.

We will do some of the recommended prayers and practices for this day.

About the session

In the session we will be doing the prayers and mantra which is a traditional practice within Tibetan Buddhism. You can download the text via the link above to see the practice.

If you are not familiar with this kind of traditional prayers and practices, you are still very welcome to attend and we can do a short introduction in the beginning of the session. However, these prayers and practices takes time, experience and knowledge to understand and appreciate fully. But many find benefit to attend, even if they don't understand the practice fully.
